Case Study - Veolia
Oaklands have successfully delivered Civil Engineering works for Veolia across a number of sites .
The sites on average handle over 80,000 tonnes of waste each year collected from households. These new facilities are deposit points for Local Authority Waste, which is then transferred to recovery facilities, then separate for recycling and additionally provide the raw materials used for energy recovery within the power sector.
The works consisted of large RC Structures, Weighbridges, drainage and concrete slabs. Cladding and steel was completed by others.
Case Study - Warburtons Factory
Working with Hargreaves and Warburtons Oaklands have carried out several projects with one of the U.Ks premium bakeries.
Oaklands delivered all civil engineering elements on the new £20m dedicated plant for producing "thins" the sandwich alternative range. The project was completed on time and programme, the key challenges were ensuring the that highly specialist machinery and robotic equipment could work within the design and ensuring the building performed in all areas of tolerance for slab +/_ air tightness and water ingress.
The works consisted of large RC Structures, specialist steel drainage, attenuated surface water drainage, concrete slabs and concrete roads.
